Each of our venues has a fantasy-like quality, giving guests a rare opportunity to live their dreams and indulge their imagination:-
Ackergill Tower is a dramatically atmospheric 15th century castle at the northern tip of Scotland that offers the full-on highland experience with shooting, fishing, and whisky galore.
Kinnettles Castle in the rolling hills of Angus has all the fairy tale turrets and battlements yet the interior has been given a chic contemporary twist with the wow factor in abundance.
Carberry Tower, just outside Edinburgh, was associated with Mary Queen of Scots and was home to the late Queen Mother’s sister – everyone is made to feel like royalty.
Plas Rhianfa, overlooking the Menai Strait and the peaks of Snowdonia, is a picture perfect French chateau with gorgeous gardens, stunning Victorian interiors and charm to spare.
Stanbrook Abbey, nestling at the foot of the Malvern Hills, has been extensively refurbished to combine Gothic Revival architecture with stylishly adaptable spaces for every kind of event.
The Solent Forts rule the waves between Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight, providing utterly unique facilities for corporate events and social celebrations that will go down in history as the best ever.
Events that simply can’t be bettered
Hosting events is our core business, and the offer is therefore slightly different from that provided by traditional hotels. This gives us greater flexibility to organise a wider range of events and to make them truly extraordinary.
Each of our venues is geared to offering event organisers exclusive use of the accommodation, facilities and activities – we literally give them the keys to the castle!
They are ideal for all manner of inspiring, impressive and successful corporate functions – meetings, conferences, exhibitions, receptions, banquets, away days, team building sessions and incentives. Each venue offers a wide choice of different spaces, facilities and activities that can be tailored to your exact requirements.
They also provide magical settings for the most romantic wedding ceremonies and receptions imaginable, lending themselves to whatever kind of celebration you have in mind - the whole place is yours so you can do as you like! They’re also fabulous venues for making the most of all those other one-off events that one must rise to with style – stag and hen parties, engagement and birthday bashes, family and school reunions, anniversaries and Bar Mitzvahs.
Throughout the year we organise an increasingly wide variety of differently themed events that give individuals, couples or groups of friends the opportunity to enjoy the experience of a lifetime in our amazing venues.
These include everything from glamorous casino nights to courses on cookery, fly fishing or writing short stories, jazz festivals to wine tasting sessions, yoga retreats or antique fairs, and live theatre to all manner of fancy dress banquets. These offer great opportunities for people to indulge their passions, spend time with like-minded individuals, broaden their horizons and let their hair down.
Although we don’t offer the full range of services one might expect from a hotel our hospitable General Managers welcome individuals, couples and small groups who would like to get a taste of the amazing lifestyle - but without booking the entire venue or attending a themed event. The offering varies from property to property but includes superb accommodation with breakfast, sumptuously traditional afternoon teas, hearty Sunday lunches and Banquet Dining experiences.
For the banquets guests gather for drinks and canapés in the bar before being ushered into the dining room. The table is beautifully set with crisp linen, fine cutlery and the soft glow of candlelight - everyone swaps stories, makes new friends and enjoys the pleasures of great company, often accompanied with live entertainment provided by a magician or pianist.
Our properties may be the heroes but this is only half the story. They come with entertaining and accommodating staff who delight in creating out of this world experiences and magical memories. Many of our guests arrive as strangers, but they always leave as friends who cannot wait to come back.
We’re not interested in doing ordinary
The concept of creating legendary experiences in amazing venues is subtly different from that offered by traditional hotels or more prosaic locations. It stems from the belief that, to quote Helen Keller, “Life is either a great adventure or nothing”.
