Carberry Tower is steeped in history, dating back to the 15th century. The house offers an excellent venue for Weddings, day and residential conferences and Bed & Breakfast.
The Mansion House has recently completed a major refurbishment and now offers luxury ensuite accommodation. We are now looking for a Housekeeping Manager to join our successful team.
As Housekeeping Manager you will have overall responsibility and full accountability for the effective operation and development of the Housekeeping Department within Carberry Tower
Housekeeping Manager Duties and Attributes :
- Overall responsibility and full accountability for the cleanliness of Carberry Tower including front of house areas and bedrooms.
- Lead, motivate and develop all housekeeping team members, ensuring adequate supervision at all times and actively seek to encourage continuous service improvement.
- Maintain a duty of care over all team members and guests, ensuring all activities are carried out in a safe and responsible way.
- Maintain a safe working environment, reporting any breaches of health and safety policy in accordance with company procedures and ensure the effective maintenance of all records relating to employee health and safety, fire safety, vehicles, machinery, contractors, guests and visitors.
- To be aware of, and comply with, statutory requirements regarding the work place such as health and safety, hygiene, fire prevention
- To be aware of laundry stock control along with financial awareness and understanding of how this impacts on the property’s profit and loss accounts.
- To ensure that all employees have a complete understanding of and adhere to the Clarenco/Amazing Retreats Employee Rules and Regulations.
- To ensure that all employees have a complete understanding of and adhere to the policy’s relating to fire prevention, hygiene, health and safety.
- To communicate effectively with the team and hold periodic briefing meetings and incentive activities on a planned basis.
- Lead from the front by maintaining an immaculate appearance and ensure that all team members are dressed appropriately at all times and that all provided uniforms and accounted for and maintained in an acceptable condition.
- To attend regular management meetings to update other department heads as to progress \ problems faced within your function and to respond to the requests of others in the proper execution of your job role
- To observe and follow the guidelines and principles set out in the HR Employee handbook, which will include scrutinising the management of staff by department heads, such as the proper execution of ‘Performance’ and ‘Appraisal’ reviews for all those working within the department. To undertake a regular audit of training records across the department and to relay this information back to the General Manager as required, particularly in the case of a compliance-based training
